Alloy 617 (UNS N06617) is a nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy with an exceptional combination of high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. The high nickel and chromium contents make the alloy resistant to a variety of both reducing and oxidising environments, while the aluminium with the chromium provides oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Those elements with the molybdenum enable the alloy to withstand many wet corrosive environments.
