Chronifer M-15X is a martensitic hardenable stainless steel which is manufactured in Rod, Bar and coil. Chronifer M-15X is execution in 3m (2m) round bars as well as in coils. For all stock and size availability contact Sales.

Material Features
Chronifer M15X is a hardenable, martensitic stainless steel. It is vacuum melted, nitrogen alloyed, gas atomized, hot isostatic pressing (HIP) consolidated, warm and subsequently cold drawn. Chronifer M-15x has excellent microstructural cleanliness and homogeneity with very fine microstructure (ASTM grain size no ≤ 10). All the properties of Chronifer M-15X are significantly superior to the standard allloy 1.4057 (AISI 431). Its machinability is unproblematic and can be reproduced from one lot to the next. Its polishability is remarkable and the corrosion resistance (after heat treatment is outstanding.
