Aluminium Alloy 2117 has the primary constitent of copper and is mainly used where medium strength is required. Alloy 2117 has good formability in H15 cold heading temper and in many cases can be formed directly from pre-heat treated wire and rod. Applications of aluminium 2117 include solid rivets for truck trailers bodies and aerospace.
